Visit Alicat Workboats and RDDE at Seawork 2010

The first Alicat Workboat will be on display at SeaWork 2010 in Southampton. Visitors will be able to view the vessel at the show which will be moored at Berth 27. Please visit the Richards Dry Dock and Engineering and Alicat Workboats stabd at Q14 on the quayside.

The first Alicat Workboat is booked to be on show at the annual SeaWork 2010 exhibition and conference taking place in Southampton 15-17 June.

The 20m alumunium catamaran is currently being fitted out at Richards Dry Dock and Engineering (RDDE) with the second vessel due to be completed shortly afterwards. Work on Boat 3, a 17m version of the Alicat, will start in April.  The kit for Boat 4 has already left Australia and will arrive in Great Yarmouth for construction in the coming months.

There has been considerable interest shown in the Alicat Workboat. The vessels are specifically designed to provide support services such as turbine transfers for operation and maintenance crews. They can also be used for marine wildlife survey and mitigation as well as diving support.
